What You Will Learn

Your diploma will provide you with the extensive knowledge and training necessary to work in a medical practice as vital member of a clinical team. This includes coordinating patient check-in, providing administrative support, and performing clinical tasks, including giving injections and taking vitals.


It’s not all just in the classroom instruction. The program includes a 160-hour internship in real-life healthcare facilities. You’ll be right there, getting valuable hands-on training that prepares you for the realities of medical assisting in the workplace.


City College serves as a proctor site for NCCT, the National Center for Competency Tests. In that role, we are qualified to offer medical assisting certification to students who pass the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) exam.
