The business of healthcare administration requires an entirely different skillset. City College’s Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration program is focused on helping students acquire that skillset and provides essential training in healthcare management.
Healthcare administrators provide management and/or operational support for the business practices of a healthcare facility. General business functions like – accounting, hiring, human resources activities, marketing, budget management and many more activities that are part of daily operations.
What You'll Learn
The City College Healthcare Administration program is designed to cover all of the above, but also includes courses in healthcare law and ethics, health information systems, regulatory requirements and medical technology. You’ll learn all the basics of the U.S. healthcare system, how to develop effective strategies for complex business challenges and real-world people and communication skills. After all, working in healthcare management means working with people from all walks of life. So, you’re also not likely to be bored.
