As a student, you’ll sharpen your skills in radio and TV basics while working with the latest communications technology.  Students have plenty of hands-on opportunities to become proficient at technical basics. The curriculum also focuses on the business end of broadcasting, such as sales and advertising.

What You'll Learn

As a student in the Broadcasting Program, you’ll be learning all the fundamentals of communication technology from faculty who have first-hand knowledge and experience in the industry.  

Plus, you’ll gain valuable opportunities to get your own hands-on experience through internships atleading local radio or TV stations, as well as at media production sites. There’s nothing like the real thing to help you acquire the skills you need to get your broadcasting career off the ground!

Career Opportunities

Career opportunities in broadcasting are not just in front of a microphone or camera. There are many other career paths on the technical side, like shooting TV footage, producing and directing, lighting and sound engineering. There are also jobs that focus on the business side of broadcasting like – sales, advertising, marketing, social media and station management.
