Medical Assistants Week is promoted as a week-long event to make the public aware of all the work that certified medical assistants do. Medical assistants provide clinical and administrative support for physicians and other medical professionals by running the front office, drawing blood, administering vaccinations, taking patients’ vital signs and more.

Dr. Amanda Little has been with City College since Fall 2016. She has taught in the Allied Health as the Anatomy and Physiology Courses, Medical Terminology, Basic Life-Saving Courses, and does tutoring as well. Dr. Little is a graduate of Eastern an Illinois University with a Bachelor’s in Biology, Logan College of Chiropractic Medicine with a Bachelor in Science in Human Science and a Doctorates in Chiropractic Medicine. She believes in being hands-on with teaching and making sure students leave her class having a better understanding of the human body.

Thank a medical assistant you encounter this week.
