What it means to be a nurse can be summed up in 15 words: “Care for one, that’s love. Care for few, that’s family. Care for hundreds. That’s nursing.”

City College is proud to celebrate National Nurse’s week!

National Nurse’s week is celebrated every year from May 6th to May 12th, coinciding with the birthday of Florence Nightingale. Her legacy has laid the foundation of what professional nursing has become, and this week is the perfect time to recognize the contributions of nurses everywhere and say, ‘Thank you.’

The nursing profession has long been a needed career path. Healthcare is here to stay, and skilled nursing staff will likely always be in demand. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics projects as much as 15 percent growth by 2026.

City College offers an Associate of Science (AS) Degree in Nursing for those looking to get their nursing career off the ground. The program may be completed in as little as 18 months and is designed to help students prepare and successfully pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) — a national test that’s required for licensing and practicing as a nurse in the United States. The 2017 and current NCLEX pass rate for City College graduates is 100%. Graduates of the AS Nursing Program are ready to work as first-level caregivers, confident in the vital skills they’ve acquired during their training.

City College is institutionally accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education School (ABHES).  Additionally, this nursing education program is a candidate for accreditation by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) 3323 Peachtree Road NE, Suite 850, Atlanta, GA 30326. 404-975-5000 www.acenursing.com.

Contact City College today to learn more about the nursing program. Summer classes start June 27, 2018.

Finally, as we honor Nurse’s Week, take a moment to thank a nurse.
