Medical Assisting Degree

Medical Office Administration with a Track in Insurance, Billing, and Coding 

Our program prepares our students with the knowledge and specialized skills for a career in the medical billing and coding profession. Secretarial and administrative skills are emphasized providing graduates with the opportunity to qualify for entry level positions such as:

Mental Health Technology (Gainesville Campus)

Our Mental Health Technology program prepares our students to assist psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals in assessment, referral, counseling, and recreational activities for patients/clients.

Message from the Department Chair

The Associate of Science Degree in Allied Health is a combination of General Education classes and Core class which include hands on training.  The General education component helps students develop language skills, while the hands on component prepares the students for advancements in their chosen fields. City College offers the majors of Medical Assisting, and Medical Office Administration with a track in Medical Billing and Coding and Mental Health Technology (offered at our Gainesville Campus).
