Welcome Germany Dixon, New Assistant Director of Education of the Miami Campus

City College would like to welcome Germany Dixon as the new Assistant Director of Education of the Miami Campus. Germany was recently promoted from the position as Lead Business Faculty into being the Chief Academic Officer on the Miami Campus.

Prior to coming to City College, Germany worked in the healthcare industry for the past 20+ years in multiple management and executive level positions. His path in education started back in 2009 as an adjunct instructor and has continued to matriculate into a progressive career in higher education. He earned a BA in Biology from LaGrange College, and both a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Health management from St. Thomas University. Currently, he is completing his Ed.D. in Leadership and Management. Additionally, he served in the United States Marine Corps for over 7 years and earned an Honorable discharge in 1999.

Germany’s desire to be an educator has led him to strive in building positive pathways for greater student success, and he is dedicated to working diligently with Administration, Chairs, faculty and staff to meet the goals necessary to accomplish the mission and vision of City College.

One of his favorite quotes from Aristotle states; “Excellence is never an accident. It is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, and intelligent execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives – choice, not chance, determines your destiny”.
