Getting to the Heart of the Matter

With heart disease being the number one cause of death for both men and women in the U. S., it’s not surprising that careers related to diagnosing heart disease and other cardiovascular conditions are among the fastest growing areas in healthcare**. Cardiovascular Sonography, or more commonly known as ultrasound technology, is essentially an inside look of the heart’s structure and produces real-time images that can help physicians diagnose heart disease and other cardiac abnormalities. The skilled technicians trained to provide these sneak peaks of the inner workings of the heart, play a pretty important role on the medical team of any hospital, clinic or medical facility.
