May 19-25, 2019, is the 45th annual National EMS Week and City College would like to take the time to feature some of our wonderful EMS Instructors as well as our EMS students.

Meet Mr. Christopher Crespo, City College Miami: EMS Program Director. Mr. Crespo also works at the City of Coral Gables Fire Department as a Driver Engineer/Air Technician. Mr. Crespo has been in the fire department field for 20 years.

Mr. Crespo. has served the City of Coral Gables Fire Department since 2001. He has worked almost 2 decades with the City of Coral Gables, and can honestly say he does not regret the decision he made to be a firefighter/paramedic since day one. Mr. Crespo also has chosen to be involved in EMS education since 2004. He currently works for City College and manages several campuses where he has been employed since 2008. He has held every position in EMS education and truly has a passion to educate our future EMS providers. Mr. Crespo loves the field of EMS because it has allowed him to use his knowledge both on the job and off the job in education making a difference in not only his community but in students lives. The fulfillment that he gets from seeing students walk across the stage at graduation then get employed and work alongside the city he works for is truly priceless.

This week we honor the dedication you provide in the day-to-day lifesaving services of medicine’s “front line.”
