Dr. Blaine S. Cameron joined the City College family as the Medical Adviser to three Anesthesia Technology programs (Altamonte Springs, Miami and Fort Lauderdale) in June 2018. In this capacity, he will make recommendations for the curriculum in an effort to ensure that all the educational standards are met. Dr. Cameron will also meet with students periodically. He may also lecture on a variety of topics to help engage students as well as lead them to a greater understanding of the medical field. Dr. Cameron has a rich family history in education and although he jokes about not being a teacher himself, he is thrilled to be a part of an educational community and academic family.
Dr. Blaine S. Cameron completed his residency in anesthesia and specialized training as an interventional pain management fellow at the University of Maryland. Dr. Cameron is certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology Licensure, in both anesthesiology and interventional pain. He is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Florida as well as Maryland. Dr. Blaine S. Cameron is a voluntary faculty member at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine.
He currently holds patents #60/809,952 US11/809,074, #62/195,121, #62/197,865, #62/246,651, #62/246,655, as well as several other patents that are currently pending. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Pain Society, the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Florida Society of Anesthesiologists. He was honored for his outstanding work with the Pfizer Scholars Award in Interventional Pain Management.
