Broward Sherriff’s Office EMS Fire Cadet Presentations
City College collaborated with the Broward County Sherriff’s Office Fire Cadet program to present students, aged 13 to 19, with our expansive EMS Programs. Ranging from our EMT Diploma program, that can be completed in as little as 15 weeks, to our 12 month Paramedic Diploma Program, all the way to our degree completion, Associate in Emergency Medical Services. Our EMS Program Chairs, David Sola and Michael Mejia, with the help of their team of instructors, gave two groups of Fire Cadets an in-depth look into the world of City College’s EMS courses.

Our instructors covered everything from Basic Life Support (BLS), to backboarding and safe helmet removal. The cadets received an overview into what it’s like to be a student in the EMS program at City College. We wish them much luck and hope to see them all in our programs soon!
