In today’s world, it is becoming increasingly important to have earned a college degree.

Whether you are going back to school to earn a two year degree in business or nursing or to obtain a higher degree, there are many benefits, both financial and personal.

Going back to school is a big decision not to be made lightly. For adults who work and have families to support, it is important to weigh and balance the possible benefits of a small, local college. At our college, we realize all these dynamics and try to put resources in place to help you achieve this goal. A few resources are:

  • Free college tutoring program at our Center for Academic Excellence.  Each campus across Florida, offers this important service to our students.
  • Once you enroll, we provide free tutoring for the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE).

Once you decided on a degree path, ensuring that you do well in your courses should be paramount in your mind. Few people are good at everything and often it is the case that an individual with a high aptitude for English or history may not fare as well in a science or math course. There may come a point that you will need some additional help in understanding difficult concepts in a course. While some instructors will take the time to sit down with students to offer addition assistance in understanding topics covered in class, many will not.

However, by choosing us, you will find that you have access to college tutors that can help you quickly get up to speed in your classes. Of course, while tutors can help you better understand a difficult topic, achieving better grades will also require that you put in the extra time needed to achieve the desired outcome on your next exam. Therefore, while the benefits of tutoring are many, your determination to get the most out of your tutoring sessions is crucial to your success.
